Welcome to the first Silk for greyhounds. Some of you will know me from my blog "The Silk - Shep's Horse Racing Selections". I haven't broadcast the fact but I've had an interest in greyhound racing for 25 years. Starting out as a youngster going to the Ipswich dogs on a Saturday night with my parents through to owning the massively under-achieving Bee Arch. I've always liked a punt on the dishlickers. However work commitments reduced that interest over the past few years.
Recently I have got back into the sport and have been tracking my selections on www.thegreattipoff.com You are free to check my stats there under the user TheSilk. The past month has seen a 30% return on winners and yesterday saw a 69% return. A lot of people think that there's no value in the dogs. Well in the past week, I've picked 2 winners that paid $11 and $12. Not bad! Who just said that's a lot better than the crap you've been dealing on the gallops? Fair call.
